CASE STUDY

CONTEXT:  A progressive telecommunications company, renowned for its commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion, is facing issues with turnover. 

CHALLENGE:  Despite commendable efforts, the organization is currently experiencing an uptick in HR complaints and a significant rise in turnover rates, negatively impacting the organization's culture and productivity.  Internal investigations found critical performance gaps within the management population, primarily concerning the support of its diverse employee population, especially those who are d/Deaf or hard-of-hearing. 

SOLUTION:  To address these gaps, a comprehensive training program for 60+ managers was implemented. This blended approach includes self-paced e-learning modules and in-person instructor-led sessions, enabling managers to apply knowledge gained from the modules effectively. 

RESULT:  This training program is expected to improve managerial support for diverse employees, especially those who are d/Deaf or hard-of-hearing. With enhanced understanding and skills, managers are expected to foster a more inclusive work environment, leading to reduced HR complaints, lower turnover rates, and a positive impact on the organization's culture and productivity.
